Carter Morton, a junior at Northern Iowa, won the men's decathlon with a lifetime-best 7,454 points at the 113th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Morton achieved personal-best efforts in five events to improve on his 7,210-point performance April 13-14 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University. Morton became the first Northern Iowa male competitor since 2013 to win the decathlon at the Drake Relays and the fifth in meet history.
